 Hoy fue un día con nuestros familias. Mi familia decidió ir a Portugal con nuestros amigos como Rob y Manuel, Remenna y Maria, Jono, Jésus and Alex T. Me desperté a las once porque perros afuera ladraban. Cuando nosotros tuvimos días libros como hoy, Aroa y yo nos despertamos muy tarde, cual es diferente entre cuando tuvimos viajes con el intercambio. Comimos el desayuno con Iria, la hermana mayor de Aroa. Acabó de regresar a Las Vegas, un viaje ella tomó después de su boda cual solamente era dos semanas en el pasado (mas o menos). Cuando el padre de Aroa vino a casa, almorzamos comida típica de España, mejillones, pan, y arroz. Era muy rico y después estaba llena. Luego fuimos a la casa de Manuel y Rob porque el padre de Manuel nos conduje a Portugal. No sé como los cinco de nosotros pudimos sentar en el coche pequeño. Los coches en España son diferentes de los coches en los Estados Unidos porque los coches aquí son mas pequeños. El viaje era una hora pero Portugal está una hora menos España y por eso llegamos en Portugal al mismo tiempo que salimos España. Solamente pudimos pasar poco tiempo en Portugal por que necesitamos regresar a España por una cena con todo el intercambio. Entramos una parte de Portugal donde todo estaban guardando por un pared de piedras. Primero fuimos a compras en la abundancia de las tiendas. Muchas de las tiendas vendieron ropa de los Estados Unidos como Roxy y Quicksilver. Porque la ropa era americano el precio de la ropa era muy caro. Hacia calor y por eso comimos helado. ¡Me surprendió como los vendedores hablaban ingles! Siempre puede encontrar la cultura americano como en las canciones y la ropa. Después, visitamos un campo de batalla cual estaba situando cerca de una ria cual separa España y Portugal. Eran muchos cánones hasta España. Entonces andamos un paseo en los túneles donde en el pasado, soldados luchaban- A las siete en Portugal (ocho en España) necesitamos regresar a España por nuestra cena en un restaurante. Todo del intercambio estaban aquí con algunos de los maestros de Newark Academy, CPI Toural, y CEIP Manuel Padin Truiterio. Cenamos mucha comida como tortillas, pan, carne y otros típicos platos españoles. A las once, Olga, la madre de Aroa llegó y fuimos al otro restaurante donde solamente Alex T, Jésus, Manuel, Rob, Aroa y yo fuimos. Jugamos dardos y fútbolin, bebimos Coca Cola, y comimos Lays. A la una necesitamos regresar a nuestra casa porque estábamos cansados. ¡No puedo creer que hoy fue el ultimo día completo con nuestras familias!  |  Today was a day with our families. My family decided to go to Portugal with our friends like Rob and Manuel, Remenna and Maria, Jono, Jésus and Alex T. I woke up at eleven because dogs outside were barking. When we had free days like today, Aroa and I wake up very late, which is different from when we had trips with the exchange program. We ate breakfast with Iria, Aroa´s older sister. She just returned from Las Vegas, a trip she took after her wedding which only was two weeks ago (more or less). When Aroa´s father came home we ate a typical Spanish lunch; mussels, bread, and rice. It was very good and after I was full. Later we went to Manuel and Rob´s house because Manuel´s dad drove us to Portugal. I don´t know how the five of us could sit in the small car. The cars in Spain are very differnt from the cars in the United States because the cars here are much smaller. The trip was an hour, but Portugal is an hour behing Spain and therefore we arrived in Portugal at the same time we left Spain. We only could spent a little time in Portgual because we needed to return to Spain for a dinner with all of the exchange program. We entered a part of Portugal where everything was guarded by a stone wall. First, we shopped in the abundance of shops. Many of the stores sold American clothes like Roxy and Quicksilver. Because the clothes were American, the price of the clothes were very expensive. It was very hot, and therefore we ate ice cream. It surprised me how the vendors spoke English! You can always find American culture like in songs and clothes. After, we visited a battlefield which was situated close to the river which separates Spain and Portugal. There were many old cannons facing Spain. Then we took a walk in tunnels where in the past, soldiers fought. At seven in Portugal (eight in Spain) we needed to return to Spain for our dinner in a resturant. All of the exchange program were here with some of the teachers from Newark Academy, CPI Toural, and CEIP Manuel Padin Truiterio. We ate a lot of food like tortillas, bread, meat, and other typical Spanish plates. At elevn, Olga, Aroa´s mom arrived and we went to another restaurant where ony Alex T, Jésus, Manuel, Rob, Aroa, and I went. We played darts and foosball, drank Coca Cola, and ate Lays. At one we needed to return to our houses because we were tired. I can believe today was the last full day with our families!  |
